Purple Haze

Here's August's editorial on FAUVE Magazine, named after the classic Jimi Hendrik tune Purple Haze.

This has got to be the hardest shoot I've attempted! That aint photoshop smoke (maybe a little bit) but most of it comes from the real-deal fogging machine and DIY gels. It was shot in a small studio with basic ventilation, so I've pretty much suffocated the team this shoot!

Getting the timing of the smoke and the model was no walk in the park. Hat's off to my hubby Iksan for hands-on working that crazy machine and the model Anna for tolerating the overload of haze every couple of frames! It was a pain but i'm pretty much happy with the results!

maybe I should try dry ice next time :P

No idea what possessed me to try and "flood" an entire room, probably because of the challenge involved, I find it hard to appreciate my works unless it took a great deal of difficulty to create. This series took me an entire month of post production! But for what it's worth, I believe I've just shot one of my favourite editorial so far.

Here's a quick little shoot I did for FAUVE Magazine's anniversary issue. The entire shoot took around 1-2 hours. No struggle's here Fauve's direction is almost always fast-moving and straightforward ;)

Lookbook photoshoot for Mahro's Fall/Winter 2013 collection.

I forgot to upload these series! Shot them a while back, and like most shoots, I had plenty of fun with it! :) The concept was pretty clear from the beginning and the team was pretty solid, so everything went smooth-sailing, we even had plenty of time to squeeze in some spontaneous ideas.

Imagination

Another re-edit from an earlier photo, actually from one of my favourite photographs I did for FAUVE last year, I posted about it here.

Although I still think the original image was already a strong enough photo with a strong enough concept, the 'anti-minimalist' in me took over. I couldn't help but add something more to further this idea.

Figured this image would be fitting for "Earth Hour" but too bad i'm a month late :P

Sneak Peak Fauve Shoot

Aaaargh I'm dying to publish my latest photoshoot for FAUVE! But its not officially out yet... so here a sneak peak! :)

The Naked Idea

I've done my fair share of photo shoots ever since I started working with FAUVE, But so far this shot has been my favourite so far! I remember this concept came across by accident while searching for something on the internet!

This pic was used as an editorial image for Fa's Interview on the 6th issue of FAUVE magazine. The Photo was later on painted over by lightbox artist YAZ and auctioned off for charity.
